INFORMATION COLLECTION AND USE  

The Locust Grove PTO website collects personally identifiable information only when you subscribe to the PTO mailing list or for volunteer sign-ups or other applicable registration that the website may feature.   When you subscribe or register with any of the above-mentioned lists or services, we may ask for personally identifiable information, minimally including but not limited to, your name, phone number, mailing address, and/or e-mail address.

• The Locust Grove PTO will use any collected information solely for the purpose of list subscription or service registration and internal Locust Grove PTO and school communications.   Your personal information will never be disseminated to the parent-teacher organization at large without your consent, and at no time is your personal information ever provided to third parties for informational, commercial, or advertising purposes.  Additionally, your personal information will not be used for matters which do not pertain to Locust Grove PTO business. 
• Protecting children's privacy is very important to the Locust Grove PTO.  It is our policy to comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 and all other applicable laws.  Any data, except e-mail addresses, that the Locust Grove PTO collects on children under thirteen (13) years of age will be discarded in accordance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act.  E-mail addresses of children under the age of 13 submitted during subscription to the mailing list are kept by the Locust Grove PTO for identification purposes only, and under no circumstances will be displayed, disseminated, or made publicly available.  If it is believed that the mailing list registrant is under the age of 13, all reasonable efforts to identify and contact the parent or guardian of the minors will be made.

INFORMATION SHARING AND DISCLOSURE

The Locust Grove PTO website will never distribute, rent, or sell your personally identifiable information to anyone.  In very limited instances, the Locust Grove PTO, via its Board officials, may send personally identifiable information about you to other people when:

• We have your express consent to share the information;
• We need to share your information to provide a product or service requested and authorized by yourself;
• We need to send the information to individuals, organizations, or companies who work on behalf of, or closely with, the Locust Grove PTO Board officials to set-up, organize, or coordinate activities or events. Your express consent will be obtained in these instances. These entities will not have any right to use the personally identifiable information we provide to them beyond what is necessary to assist us in an organizational capacity;
• We respond to subpoenas, search warrants, court orders or legal process (your consent not required); or
• We find that your actions violate the Locust Grove PTO website  terms or any other applicable usage guidelines.

COOKIES

The Locust Grove PTO website does not set or program cookies onto your computer.  Other companies' use of their cookies is subject to their own privacy policies, not this one.   Other third-parties (including their advertisers), generated from links to external sources from this website, may set and access cookies on your computer. These companies may use IP information about your visits to their websites in order to provide advertisements on other sites about goods and services that may be of interest to you. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY:

The Locust Grove PTO website may amend this privacy policy from time to time. If we make any substantial changes in the way we use your personal information, we will notify you by posting a prominent announcement on our pages.
